Highlights:
I’ve been working at STEAG Solar Energy Solutions, at that time still GILDEMEISTER energy solutions, since the end of 2018, and I was an absolute newcomer to the photovoltaic industry. Thanks to my colleagues' willingness to explain everything to me down to the last detail, I quickly gained the necessary knowledge and could assume responsibility for certain tasks.
In addition to the typical purchasing tasks, I am responsible for purchasing for our ERP system. We’re repeatedly facing new challenges: To make our work easier, regular adjustments are necessary. It is nice to see how smaller projects are realised alongside the classic project business and, eventually, can be considered a success.
One of my absolute highlights so far is my one-month stay in Australia. There, I was able to support my Australian colleagues and could gain great insights and valuable experience.
University and work:
I studied applied communication sciences with a focus on sports, event and media management. After finishing my studies at the end of 2012, I started a traineeship with a PR and marketing agency. The company also has a sales division where I completed my traineeship. Afterwards, I was responsible for purchasing and marketing tasks there. I came to the purchasing department at SENS via various stations.
Advantages:
No two days of work are ever the same! This is what makes working here so interesting and diverse. As an employee at SENS, I may benefit from numerous advantages: Since the issue of health is very dear to our management level, we can participate in yoga classes or massages, among other things. In addition, we can benefit from a great lunch offer by our cook who prepares meals for us every day and also provides us with fresh fruit. The flexible working hours also allow to reconcile professional and private well.
Work environment:
It's so much fun to work in such a young and dynamic team! You can notice the flat hierarchies here and that everyone is considered part of the team.
