Purchasing and logistics on the customer side
I have been working for SENS since 2010. Until it changed its name in 2019, SENS was still active on the market under the name GILDEMEISTER energy solutions. Before that, I worked for an international haulage company, but I wanted to get to know the customer side. A job advertisement in the field of logistics aroused my interest and I was not promised too much.
Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to continuously develop professionally and personally and to advance within the company. After switching to the Purchasing department, I initially became a team leader and have been Head of Procurement & Logistics since the beginning of 2017. I am now responsible for more than 15 employees across the entire supply chain.

Varied activities in logistics
In addition to operational purchasing, which is subdivided into commodity management and local purchasing, my area also includes logistics, warehousing and office management. My core task is to manage the entire purchasing and logistics chain. Together with my direct team colleagues, but also my colleagues from Sales, Project Engineering and Processing, we endeavour to achieve the best possible results in our solar projects. In doing so, we continuously review and optimise our processes and procedures. Everyday work in the PV industry is both exciting and challenging. No two days are the same.

In recent months and years in particular, we have faced challenges in terms of material availability, price increases, logistics and resource shortages. However, I am incredibly proud that we and the entire SENS team have mastered these times and our projects well. That's why I'm sure that we'll be able to manage everything in the future too - I'm looking forward to it!
