Solar park in Russia connected to grid
Successful commissioning of project Volodarovka took place.
These days the latest project of the joint venture partners GILDEMEISTER energy solutions and LSG Group went into operation successfully in the southwest of Russia. Flying the flag of the Russian Subsidiary GILDEMEISTER Solar Rus 000 a large scale solar park of 15 MW has been realised during the past months in the district of Astrachan. The so-called project “Volodarovka” is part of a governmental program to support solar parks in Russia, the joint venture or more specifically the subsidiary acted as EPC.
The solar park Volodarovka was built in one of the sunniest regions of Russia. The climatic conditions challenged the PV experts: “Extremly cold winters meet extremely hot summers. We had to consider this for the planning and material selection”, explains Christian Kleinhans, Head of Project Development at GILDEMEISTER energy solutions. Furthermore, special requirements were applicable regarding the purchasing: At least 50 percent of the components had to be Russian. This requirement was proofed within a special localisation inspection. Additionally, the park was connected to the public grid and therefore had to be qualified for the Russian electricity exchange.
The project was commissioned by the Austrian CORE VALUE CAPITAL GmbH. The owner-managed company attaches importance to sustainable engagements and was pleased abizt the enjoyable cooperation atmosphere: “The project Volodarovka demonstrates impressively what is meant by a professional and purposive cooperation. The typical problems that occur regularly within such a construction period were solved pragmatically. We´re already looking forward to the next successful commissioning”, says CEO Ferry Tahan.
Two further players were contributing to the successful project: The developers of GREEN SOURCE GmbH and of VERSHINA Development LLC. GREEN SOURCE was founded 2006 in Vienna and is one of the leading PV project development companies in Central and Eastern Europe. VERSHINA is one of the most important project developers in Russia and layed the foundation for its success in 2015.
The next success message can be expected soon: Only a few kilometres away another project called Yenotaevka is about to be build and will be finished also this year. As in Volodarovka 15 MW will be installed and GILDEMEISTER LSG Solar Rus OOO is responsible for it.
The project partners will also take care for the service subsequently: GREEN SOURCE, VERSHINA and the joint venture will provide the O&M service and thereby will be active in the Russian O&M market.
Update: Since July 2019, GILDEMEISTER energy solutions operates as STEAG Solar Energy Solutions, known as SENS, and continues to cooperate with its former subsidiary GILDEMEISTER LSG Solar Rus.
