Co-working in Dortmund

Coworking in the Ruhr Region

GILDEMEISTER energy solutions (meanwhile SENS) now also in Dortmund

Building and Project Manager Mark Mueller recently swapped his modern office in Wuerzburg with a stylish coworking office in the city centre of Dortmund. The electrical engineer didn‘t change employers, but he is the first employee in the new branch of GILDEMEISTER energy solutions (since July 2019: STEAG Solar Energy Solutions).

The move to settle in the Ruhr region was interesting for two reasons: “On the one hand, there is a growing demand in the area of PV rooftop systems for the region and we want to be closer to the client. On the other hand we are able to attract more specialists due to the new location,” says managing director André Kremer. “Because of our strong expansion plans we are continuously looking for support for our team and are now able to add Dortmund to the pool.”

Dortmund, after Stuttgart is the second German branch for the solar company based in Wuerzburg. There are seven branches worldwide which include Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Russia, Turkey, Dubai and Australia.

The office in Dortmund is definitely the most exceptional: At the location in Hansastrasse you will not only find classic, separate offices but also coworking areas in the form of table clusters and common areas and meeting areas. The concept invites renters to find and share inspiration for their work. A popcorn machine and football table are reminiscent of a share house, the armchair and curtains between a projector and flip chart resemble a living room and a coffee area invites networking.

The office building is located in Dortmund’s city centre, close to the theatre and city gardens. So far, SENS has rented four workspaces and plans on using the new location for customer events.

Marc Müller feels at home in Dortmund already: “I feel comfortable being here and love the new work concept and of course being closer to the client.”
