Description
At the Leeuwarden site in the Dutch province of Friesland, the solar experts from STEAG Solar Energy Solutions implemented a 13-hectare open-space PV installation for the Norwegian investor Energeia AS and its subsidiary EAM Leeuwarden BV. The total capacity is 12 MWp. The total power generation amounts to almost 11,000 MWh per year. A particular challenge in this project was the fact that the solar park is located below sea level, which required special flood safety precautions. The SENS team was also able to successfully master the difficult ground conditions and a high-voltage overhead line that crosses the site.
