Greenbuddies and SENS sign cooperation agreement
From the very beginning, there was something in particular that Greenbuddies and STEAG Solar Energy Solutions (SENS) had in common: their chemistry. Pragmatic, purposeful and professional – these watchwords apply equally to the SENS team headquartered in Würzburg and to the Czech experts in PV and e-mobility. From now on, the two companies will join forces to provide the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg with ground-mounted PV systems and the associated services.
Expanding activities in Europe
"For us, the Benelux countries are the logical extension of our existing activities in Europe. We still see enormous potential in this market, even though there are already existing players and projects there," explains André Kremer, Managing Director at SENS. The PV service provider has been active in the Dutch market for several years, completing EPC projects in the rooftop and ground-mounted sectors. The 12 MWp Leeuwarden solar park won the Frisian Energy Prize for the company in 2019.
250 MWp by 2025
Together with Greenbuddies, SENS will be developing further utility scale projects from an office in Eindhoven. According to current plans, construction of the first solar parks is likely to start at the beginning of 2023. The declared goal is to have a portfolio of 250 MWp by 2025. SENS will provide EPC and O&M services on these projects.
On course for growth
Cooperating with Greenbuddies fits perfectly into the SENS growth strategy. SENS, which has subsidiaries in Italy, Spain, Portugal and the UK, has ambitious goals in Europe and beyond. Its workforce has doubled over the last three years. “Against this background, we are always searching for committed partners with a similar mindset. I am greatly looking forward to working with Greenbuddies, who can identify with our ‘Good Energy’ just as much as we can,” says Kremer.
