Successful certification according DIN SPEC 91020:2012 in Würzburg


„We care about our employee’s health“ – that’s more than a slogan at SENS, formerly GILDEMEISTER energy solutions, it‘s a lived company culture. For several years now, they are engaged intensively in the topic of health management and are constantly expanding their health-promoting offers. These efforts will be honoured with an award: The Würzburg-based solar company is now holding the certification according DIN SPEC 91020:2012. This norm sets standards for building and development of a working corporate health system. 'We would like to give our team the best conditions for successful working.‘ the managing director André Kremer explains, 'the labour market has great demands, therefore, we take the topic of health serious.‘

At STEAG Solar Energy Solutions there is a fixed contact person for the topic of health management, regular inter-divisional health circles take place in order to discuss current issues. Besides various changing sport programmes, massages at work, free fruit and snack offers the employees in Würzburg profit of a own canteen. The menu lists vegetarian food as well as healthy whole foods. The classic occupational safety is supplied by the possibility to use height-adjustable tables and wrists supports. Further measures are planned like a bonus programme and a health day. The sustainable aspect that is implemented daily by the company is also transfered to the health of the team.

'We are pleased about that the successful certification makes this approach visible to the outside‘, Kremer says. The audit has been carried out by the renomated DQS GmbH, a independent institute based in Frankfurt am Main, that is specialised in the topic of health management. The audit experts have been on site several times and certify the implementation of a health management system at SENS in Würzburg.
