Energy management is imperative
Rising energy prices, increasing competition and government requirements regarding energy audits as postulated in the new Energy Services Act (EDL-G) or tax refunds pursuant to § 10 StromStG ("SpitzenEqualification", SpaEfV) have rendered energy management mandatory for many companies. An energy management system (EnMS) that complies with DIN EN ISO 50001, enables your company to continuously improve internal processes and systems, and to achieve energy goals. It makes an important contribution to enhancing energy efficiency and climate protection management.

As part of the new Energy Services Act (EDL-G), all companies that do not comply with the SME definition are committed to conducting an Energy audit in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 once every four years since 5 December 2015 and regularly thereafter. This audit requirement applies to companies from all sectors.
Equally, all companies benefit from the cost, energy and CO2 savings yielded by the measures outlined in the Energy Audit with a short payback period. Regardless of the legal requirement, a standardized energy audit offers a multitude of advantages. For companies in the manufacturing industry an energy audit according to DIN EN 16247-1 is a prerequisite for tax refunds from peak compensation (SpaEfV) or the special compensation scheme.
