Electomobility – and thus the availability of charging stations – is a issue, which gets more and more important. The knowledge about the energy situation is the starting point for planning a sensible charging infrastructure. Therefore, the Munich-based car dealer expert cotedo entered into cooperation with OPTENDA GmbH in September 2018.

Decision-makers in the car dealers are undecided in how to meet the challenge of electromobility. With ideal, customized solutions OPTENDA supports the car dealers in decisions such as the number or the type of charging stations and supply economical solutions.

‘Our aim is to work out an individual, tailor-made charging infrastructure solution for every dealership. By working together with OPTENDA (until April 2020 GILDEMEISTER energy efficiency), we are expanding our consulting portfolio with another importent component,’ explains Andreas Lemke, an expert in electromobility at cotedo. cotedo.

In order to find a perfect solution for the charging infrastructure, the experts of OPTENDA determined the current supply and consumption situation of the car dealer. For this purpose, capacity utilization, consumption peaks and the remaining capacity are recorded and evaluated.

Managing Director Sebastian Braun explains, ‘E-mobility represents a great opportunity, but also a challenge. Especially in the commercial sector many aspects have to be taken into account - not least the technical feasibility with the existing infrastructure or the power connection. It’s often not only the set-up of a charging station. That’s why we are happy to assist the car dealerships with our know-how.’

Load management and other measures reduce peak loads and ensure high residual capacity. In combination with suitable hardware and control technology for charging infrastructure, it is the ideal design of components and their interaction in the energetic system of the location as well as an optimization of system costs.
