E-mobility solutions for car dealerships

The demand for electric vehicles is growing steadily - however, a nationwide charging infrastructure is often not guaranteed. Many car dealers are faced with a problem because the car dealerships are receiving precise specifications from the OEMs (vehicle manufacturers). What is needed are charging solutions for the customers' electric vehicles during repair and maintenance work, as well as for demonstration vehicles.

Thanks to the cooperation with the car dealership expert cotedo it is our goal to develop customised solutions in the area of charging infrastructure and e-mobility. Thanks to the long-standing expertise of the cooperation partner cotedo in the automotive industry, SENS can offer car dealers individually tailored, all-round worry-free packages for their dealerships. These include not only the charging stations, but also the installation of photovoltaic systems in combination with energy storage facilities.

"In more and more cases, the car dealerships are receiving precise specifications from the vehicle manufacturers. However, the installation of a single charging station is usually not enough," explains Moritz Wickert, Head of Energy Systems at STEAG Solar Energy Solutions. "We support them with our complete solutions and modular systems consisting of e-charging stations, photovoltaic installations and energy storage batteries."

Components: Electromobility

Load management is necessary wherever multiple charging stations are operated simultaneously to prevent overvoltage and peaks. In many cases, only a limited power supply is available, which is distributed over the number of charging points.

Fast charging station for e-vehicles

Fast charging station

from e.g. Wallbe, ABB or EBG

  • DC fast charging station (CCS, CHAdeMO, type 2 or as triple charger)
  • AC charging possible by type 2
  • RFID card reader
Normal charging station for e-vehicles

Normal charging

from e.g. Wallbe, ABB or EBG

  • Integrated load and user management
  • Easy integration into back end and billing systems
  • complying with calibration law
  • very suitable for fleet management
  • Individual design
Wallbox for charging e-vehicles

Wallbox

from e.g. Wallbe, ABB or EBG

  • Charging points type 2
  • System operation
  • UMTS module
  • Static load management with simultaneous charging
  • Flexible scalability (integration of additional charging points)

Dynamic load management

The intelligent load management enables automatic distribution of the power available to all connected charging stations. Due to the individual prioritisation of the stations, load distribution can be dynamically controlled and continuously regulated. A future extension of the charging infrastructure is easily possible.
