University and work:
Focus on renewable energy
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering in Colombia, I gained my first professional experience in the oil and gas sector. Two years later, in 2015, I travelled from Colombia to Germany to take a master’s degree in renewable energy at the Technical University of Berlin. Now, after five years working in this sector, I have been responsible for numerous international projects, for example in Africa, Europe and South America. I started work for Iqony Sustainable Energy Solutions GmbH in August 2020 as a project developer at the Würzburg office. My particular responsibilities include land acquisition, discussions with authorities and network operators and the management of all special legal aspects for our utility scale projects. In effect, I am setting the foundations for the planning and construction of solar parks all over the world.
