Head of Project Development Eastern Europe

„From my personal experience, I can recommend SENS as an employer for career starters and students.“

University and work:
Career entry as a working student

My success story at Iqony Solar Energy Solutions began with a job as a working student in project planning in 2014. This early career entry allowed me to gain valuable insights into my target industry while still studying. After a six-month internship in project development and the subsequent preparation of my thesis in cooperation with the company, I was given the opportunity to actively participate in various areas of the value chain as part of a two-year trainee program. In doing so, I was able to get to know various activities from development to the handling of large international photovoltaic projects.

Advantages:
Professional and personal development at SENS

From my personal experience, I can recommend SENS as an employer for career starters and students. During your studies, you benefit from flexible working hours, project-related collaboration, and professional supervision as part of your final thesis. In addition, the responsible and varied activities as well as the pleasant working environment create the best conditions to master the career start and to quickly develop professionally and personally.

Highlights:
Collegial, international working environment

My personal highlights include the daily work in the young, dynamic team and the intercultural cooperation with business partners from all over the world. The regular team events and the collegial relationship with superiors help to maintain a positive corporate culture.

A particular highlight for me was my time with GLSG, a SENS partner in Australia, for whom I was able to work on new solar projects in Australia from 2019 to 2022 from the sunny location in Brisbane. My time with the Australian team in Brisbane was marked by a variety of new, positive experiences, both professionally and personally, and I am grateful that SENS offered me the opportunity to take on new challenges and learn about new cultures on the other side of the world.

Since my return from Australia in October 2022, I have been responsible for the Eastern Europe market area in Project Development, for which I am part of SENS LSG, a joint venture between SENS and LSG Building Solutions GmbH of Vienna. What I find particularly exciting about my new role as Head of Project Development Eastern Europe is that the market structures in Eastern Europe are rarely designed for the advancing energy transition to the same extent as in Western Europe. Creative solutions are often required to drive new solar projects and thus the decarbonization of the Eastern European electricity market.
